After months ripening in red wine barrels with a tangled blend of brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus, we infused our wild farmhouse ale with a dark twist in the form of intense, tangy boysenberries. Dripping with juicy, sweet and sour berry notes balanced by a funky earthiness, this creative mix of wild cultures is a sour beer lover’s delight. (Released June 2023)

Don’t let this one get away. Brewed yet again with an obsessive amount of malted rye and banished to select rye whiskey barrels for 10 months, this robust Imperial Stout is truly unforgettable.

Freakcake
Aged for five years in bourbon barrels, this year’s old brown ale featuring roasted Belgian malts is chockful of fruity esters and a rich complexity thanks to a secondary Brettanomyces fermentation flecked with tart cherries, dates, cranberries, currants, and figs. Tough Love
Tough Love is bold but nuanced, an homage of sorts to the traditional Russian Imperial Stouts and the ruling style of Catherine the Great. We construct it with dark roasted malts, malted rye, and oak-smoked wheat, and then banish it in Kentucky bourbon barrels. The aging process smooths out the edges on an otherwise bold statement, and bitterness succumbs to tender strokes of vanilla beans, hints of dried cherries, and new layers revealing themselves with each sip.
